Mayor Bill de Blasio says it’s only a matter of time before there’s tighter restrictions and business closures in New York City.
With coronavirus surging, the mayor is predicting in the next week or two the entire city will be in the orange zone.
“It’s not if, it’s when”
That means indoor dining will shut along with gyms and salons.
“I wish they could stay open, I really do because I feel for the business owners. I feel for the people who put their lives into building up a business. I feel for the people who care about those businesses.”
The mayor says the orange zone will have an impact so it’s not a foregone conclusion the city will be into the even more restrictive red zone.
