Legalized marijuana is a big step closer to reality in New Jersey.
By about a 2-1 margin voters approved a constitutional amendment to legalize marijuana. Lawmakers must now set regulations for the industry and name a commission to oversee it.
Another amendment, delaying legislative redistricting if the federal government is late in getting census data to the state, also passed, as did extending a $250 property tax deduction to all veterans, even those who served in peacetime.
