New York State to Reopen Bowling Alleys

Wikimedia Commons

Bowling alleys can reopen starting today in New York State.

Governor Cuomo said he has seen enough positive coronavirus data to let bowling alleys reopen, including a week straight of seeing the infection rate below 1%.

Masks are required. Alleys will be at 50% capacity. Every other lane will be shut and Cuomo said there will be no getting up to go anywhere for food and drink.

“They come to you. You don’t go to a bar," he said. "You don’t go to a food concession. They come to you.”

In New York City there will be no food or drink because of the continued ban on indoor dining. So far Cuomo has not mentioned any plans to resume indoor dining.

Cuomo said museums and aquariums will be allowed to reopen next week.
