Cindy Blackman Santana and her band will headline the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn's "Jazz at the Bandshell Concert" on Friday, July 24. The event also includes Mexican vibraphonist and composer Patricia Brennan and Lucía, the 24-year-old Veracruz-born vocalist who won the 2022 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition.
Cindy has been married to iconic guitarist Carlos Santana since 2010. The two make some magic on her new solo album Coherence. The expansive 17-track album arrives July 31st via Mack Avenue Records, blendingjazz, rock, and fusion. Coherence also features stellar guest appearances by Carlos Santana and guitarist John McLaughlin.
