Captured live at the Yamaha Studios in New York City on December 7, 2023, in front of an intimate audience of special guests and members of WBGO Jazz Leadership Society, pianist/vocalist Peter Cincotti and his quintet gave a rousing performance to take us swingin’ into the New Year. Playing selections from his latest recording Killer on the Keys, this festive program also featured: his new single “Because It’s Christmas”; another of Peter’s original Holiday songs; plus a seasonal chestnut. Throw in an engaging conversation with Lezlie Harrison, host of WBGO’s Come Sunday, and a smokin’ arrangement of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a festive seasonal party.
