The art of intimacy is just that—an art, that many attempt but few satisfy. With his new album, trumpeter Jeremy Pelt has released one of the most gorgeous trumpet recordings in recent memory. Approaching standards of Mancini, Bricusse and McPartland with a finesse also captured on his originals here, Pelt shares an intimacy artfully expressed with bassist Buster Williams, pianist Victor Gould, drummer Billy Hart and guitarist Chico Pinheiro, sometimes enveloped by a dreamy string quartet.
From Monday, April 10 through Friday, April 14, one cut from The Art Of Intimacy, Vol. 2: His Muse by Jeremy Pelt will be featured each morning on the New Day, New Play spotlight on myDaybreak show.
