When pianist Tamir Hendelman made his album Destinations a dozen years ago, the world had no idea how the last two pandemic years would limit our actual destinations.

Now that travel has become possible again, we were delighted to welcome his trio, with bassist Marco Panascia and drummer Ryan Sands, to the Yamaha Studio for an incredibly swinging performance.

Due to ongoing COVID concerns, it was just the four of us in the studio — but as you'll see and hear, that had no effect on their enthusiasm or rapport.

The next time Tamir travels from his west coast home to play here in the jazz capital of the world, we hope to enjoy it with all of you there. In the meantime, enjoy an in-the-groove, all-in-one-take set with the Tamir Hendelman Trio!
