Fleet Week in New York City is back and underway following a two year absence because of the coronavirus pandemic. About three thousand members of the Marines, Navy and Coast Guard are in New York to take part in Fleet Week activities which run through Memorial Day. Taylor is a nurse in the Navy.

“It’s about bringing the Navy to New York and letting the sailors having some liberties and some fun while bringing awareness of the Navy to Citizens. Navy is the best decision. You get to see the world and make the best friends.”

The public can tour ships for free, including a huge amphibious assault vessel. There’s also military concerts, search and rescue demos, a Navy dive tank and workout competitions on the USS Intrepid.
