Former Essex County Democratic Freeholder Rolando Bobadilla is endorsing Republican Bob Hugin for US Senate.  He recently changed his party affiliation to independent.  In supporting Hugin, he made a note that he still supports democrats.

“I can tell you that I also voted for and supported our democratic governor. It’s not blue, it’s not red, it’s about people who I think are genuine in addressing the issues.”

Hugin calls his democratic opponent, incumbent US Senator Bob Menendez, a career politician with no interest in the people of New Jersey.

“This race is about someone who has been in Washington for 25 years.  Sixteen of those years with a democratic president and New Jersey is dead last.  We get the lease back from Washington than any state in the country,” Hugin said.  “He’s one of the most partisan senators in the United States.  I’m not going to be that way.  I’m going to work together for people to make New Jersey a better place for all New Jerseyans.”

Incumbent Democratic US Senator Bob Menendez says Hugin would promote agendas that are bad for New Jersey.

Hugin and Menendez will square off in a debate hosted by NJTV on Wednesday.
