Last week we introduced you to Jill Ford and her former principal Maurice Williams, who still lives in New Brunswick at the age of 94. Ford came from a poor family and went on to earn two Ivy League degrees and a career in technology that made Mrs. Williams proud.

This week WBGO’s Jon Kalish tells the story of how Ford gave Williams a robot for her home named ElliQ and how that’s been going.

NOTE: Jon Kalish's report is part of WBGO's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion feature series made possible in part by a grant from The Fund for New Jersey.

Doug Doyle has been News Director at WBGO since 1998 and has taken his department to new heights in coverage and recognition.
