Alicyn Yaffee Trio at the Great Jones Distilling Co. Jazz Lounge
Every Saturday, we’re inviting NYC’s top musicians & magicians to perform in our art deco cocktail lounge, from local legends to Grammy award-winners. This week’s musical act is the Alicyn Yaffee Trio, who is one of the next generation of talented and inspired young jazz musicians to come out of Northern California. Now based in New York City, Alicyn’s debut album, “Someone Else,” features all original songs that exude the pensive intensity and lushness of artists like Alanis Morissette and Joni Mitchell.
Alicyn is a rare bird among young guitar players. She has a soulful style, emphasizing tone and feel over flashy technique, while at the same time possessing considerable harmonic knowledge and a good deal of prowess on the fretboard.

Yvonnick Prené
“A virtuoso harmonica player” — Downbeat
Yvonnick Prené was already playing the harmonica professionally by the age of 17 in Parisian jazz clubs. He later earned a master’s degree in music at the Sorbonne University in Paris, in 2011 and while still enrolled, he moved to New York City, receiving multiple scholarships at the City College of New York, Columbia University, and at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
Prené has worked with top artists like Pasquale Grasso, Peter Bernstein, Kevin Hays, Bill Stewart, and many others. Come hear this French harmonica master in action on the Zinc stage!
Mark your calendars—the showtimes are at 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm, and tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Don't miss out on this unforgettable evening of music - visit https://www.zincjazz.com or call (212) 477-9462 for more information.
Guitar Masters Series: Oz Noy
“Oz Noy may be one of the most talented guitarists around.” —JazzTimes
Acclaimed jazz guitarist Oz Noy brings his formidable trio to Zinc on Monday, November 21.
Born in Israel, Oz started his professional career at the age of 13 playing jazz, blues, pop, and rock music. By age 16, he was playing with top Israeli musicians and artists. By age 24, he was one of the most established studio guitar players in the country. Oz was also a member of the house band on Israel’s top-rated television show for more than two years.
Since his 1996 arrival in New York, Oz has made a huge impact on the local and international music scene. All-stars such as Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Dave Weckl often contribute on drums, with bassists Will Lee, James Genus, and Reggie Washington.
Showtimes are at 7:00 pm & 8:30 pm. Tickets: $25 in advance / $30 day of show. For more info, visit https://www.zincjazz.com.
