INAUGURAL JOHN COLTRANE JAZZ FESTIVAL HARLEM
, New York iconic saxophone players Bill Saxton, Alvin Flythe Todd Herbert , Sweet lLee Odum, Patience Higgins,TK Blue and John S. Mannan team up with three rhythm sections to play the music of John Coltrane from the Miles Davis/Monk Era thru the impulse Record years of Trane's performances.

Coltrane's contribution to the African American Experience, American and World Music will be fully explored and lightly seasoned by the "trip, tap and toe"
dancing of Tapdance giant Omar Edwards
The theme JAZZ APPRECIATION DAY is part of the effort of Harlem State Senator Cordelle Cleare to nurture and sustain the beginnings
of a postive new cultural renaissance in Harlem and beyond that promotes community dignity and distiction.
Son Lewis Blues Band
Nationally acclaimed guitarist Son Lewis will be in concert at the Englewood Public Library on Sunday, October 9, at 5:30 p.m. on the library’s front plaza level. This concert is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged at bccls.libcal.com/event/9495297. Please bring a chair or blanket if you can. In case of inclement weather, the concert will take place indoors.
Join us for an evening of Blues, R&B and Americana/Rock, with nationally acclaimed guitarist Son Lewis. Son began playing Blues guitar in the 1960’s, influenced greatly by artists as diverse as Robert Johnson, Hubert Sumlin, Otis Rush, and Elmore James. His own particular guitar style developed under the guidance of Blues guitarist Danny Kalb, founder and leader of The Blues Project.

Terry Waldo's Gotham City Band
Terry Waldo, the protégé of the late Eubie Blake, is a virtuoso ragtime, stride, and blues pianist as well as a vocalist and performer, famous for his dry wit. Mr. Waldo is also an author, composer, producer, band leader and theatrical music director. In a professional career that has spanned over fifty years, Terry has produced and arranged over sixty albums

JAZZ in the PARK: Celebrate Harlem's Jazz culture - and Jazz dance of the Lindy Hop! On a Savoy Sunday at St Nicholas Park & 135th St with family and friends
As part of the Harlem Roots and Rhythm Urban Dance Festival; we celebrate and honor the greats of jazz with The Harlem Renaissance Orchestra! At 12:30pm there'll be a free dance lesson and then at 1pm we welcome Band Leader Ron Allen and the orchestra to go at it with a bang!

Ellen Woloshin In Concert
Singer/songwriter Ellen Woloshin will perform in concert at the Englewood Public Library on Sunday, September 18 at 7 p.m. on the library’s front plaza. This concert is rescheduled from September 11. The program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but encouraged at bccls.libcal.com/event/9495199. Please bring a chair or blanket if possible.
With a vocal sound that is unmistakably distinct and a collection of original songs that are personal yet still universal, Woloshin crosses over pop/folk genres while also revisiting standards from the 1930s and 1940s. American Classical Orchestra and ACO Chorus to preform Mozart’s Requiem
The American Classical Orchestra (ACO), to perform Mozart’s Requiem with the ACO Chorus, along with the world premiere of ACO Artistic Director and Founder Thomas Crawford's orchestral work, Elegy. Titled Remember, this second concert of ACO's 38th season takes place at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, October 28, at 8 PM. Originally slated for February 2021, the concert pays tribute to lives lost during the pandemic.

Metuchen Jazz! Alejandro Ataucusi & Forbidden Tropics Afro Peruvian Jazz Band
Join us at this FREE jazz concert on October 16, 2022 at 2 PM at the Metuchen, NJ Library. Alejandro Ataucusi & Forbidden Tropics band blends Afro-Peruvian rhythms with elements of jazz and will feature compositions from their new album Peruvian Rhapsody. Guitarist and band leader Alejandro Ataucusi is familiar to Metuchen residents. Born and raised in Peru, Alejandro is a graduate of William Paterson University. Metuchen Library is located at 480 Middlesex Avenue (Rt27). Seating is limited to the first 65 guests.
