There's two new health clinics geared toward the youth now open in Queens and Brooklyn.

The Health Clinics at the city's Health and Hospitals locations in Queens and Woodhull, Brooklyn will serve those between ages 16 and 25 with a focus on mental health and reproductive health. Mayor Mamdani says 16 year olds get connected to a team that will stay with them until they are 25.

"We want these clinics to feel a space that young people can turn to when they are hurt, when they are isolated, when they are alone, when they feel if their struggles are only their own."

Mamdani points to stats that show most young people stop seeing their mental health care provider after age 21 and that leads to negative health outcomes.
