A former New York City police commissioner is suing Mayor Eric Adams and others in a lawsuit that alleges Adam's administration officials ran the NYPD like a criminal enterprise.
Thomas Donlon is a former FBI Investigator and was appointed police commissioner last year for not even two months. He filed a lengthy lawsuit Wednesday alleging mass corruption in the NYPD leadership through improper pay increases, promotions and pension enhancements. He says he reported the alleged corruption to Mayor Eric Adams but the mayor let it continue. In response to the suit, the Adams Administration said in part, "these are baseless accusations from a disgruntled former employee."
