Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil sues Trump

ACLU of Louisiana

Columbia University graduate and Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil is suing the Trump Administration.

Lawyers for Khalil filed a 20-million-dollar lawsuit on Thursday, alleging he was falsely imprisoned, prosecuted and labeled as anti-Semitic. The Department of Homeland Security, ICE and the State Department are listed as defendants. Khalil was taken into ICE custody in March and spoke out after he was released last month.

"This is what the administration is trying to do, dehumanize me, dehumanize anyone who actually does not agree."

The Trump administration is trying to get him deported for his leadership role in pro-Palestinian demonstrations at Columbia last school year. His case is still in immigration court.
