New York City is filing a lawsuit against manufactures and wholesalers that are selling flavored e-cigarettes.

The lawsuit is trying to stop 11 New York wholesalers from continuing to sell illegal e-cigarettes products to stores and smoke shops throughout New York City. Dorian Fuhrman with Parents Against Vaping says this is damaging to teenagers.

"These flavored e-cigarettes contain enormous amounts of Nicotine which can permanently change a developing adolescents brain and could lead to a lifetime nicotine addiction."

The lawsuit also seeks damages and penalties. Mayor Eric Adams says the city won't stand for the illegal behavior to continue at a time when nicotine addiction among middle and high school youth is exploding.
