Staten Island Ferry workers finally have a contract deal.
Staten Island Ferry workers have been without a raise for 13 years but they finallly have a new deal that's retgroactive to 2010 and goes through 2027.
Head of the union representing the workers Roland Rexha says this means salaray increases of at least 38 percent for captains engineers and mates.
"We have achieved a remarkable feat, transforming the lowest paid ferry jobs in the nation to the highest paid."
The contract also increases the work week from 32 to 40 hours. That officials say should help with a labor shortage that has hurt ferry service in recent years.
