Poor air quality lingers over New York once again from Canadian wildfire smoke. It's the second time in three weeks a wave of smoke has hit New York.
The governor is urging New Yorkers with sensitive conditions to limit their outdoor time and wear a high quality mask if outside.
"Little children should not be out playing when the conditions are in these dangerous hazardous numbers, senior citizens, people with asthma."
She doesn't think the air quality will improve much until the weekend but says it's unpredictable right now how the air will be for Independence Day celebrations on Monday and Tuesday. Hochul says the state is deploying fire crews to Canada to help.
