Trumpeter/flugelhornist Terell Stafford lives a life in many worlds, but he takes them on two a time—husband and father, leader and sideman, musician and educator, teacher and administrator, jazz and classical, Latin to bebop. blues to swing. With Between Two Worlds, Terell handles it all, alongside the kindred spirits of Tim Warfield on tenor and soprano sax, pianist Bruce Barth, bassist David Wong, drummer Johnathan Blake and percussionist Alex Acuna.

From Monday, August 28 through Friday, September 1, one cut from the Between Two Worlds album will be featured each morning on the New Day, New Play spotlight on my Daybreak show.

In jazz radio, great announcers are distinguished by their ability to convey the spontaneity and passion of the music. Gary Walker is such an announcer, and his enthusiasm for this music greets WBGO listeners every morning on Daybreak. He's the winner of the 1996 Gavin Magazine Jazz Radio Personality of the Year Award and the recipient of the 2021 Marian McPartland-Willis Conover Award for Career Achievement in Broadcasting from the Jazz Journalists Association. Gary hosts the morning show each weekday from 8am til noon. And, by his own admission, he's truly having a great time.
