TERRACE SOUL and JAZZ FUNK WINTER WEEKENDER
We are pretty excited about our Terrace Soul and Jazz Funk Weekender. With events in both the UK and overseas being curtailed over the last 2 years we've got lots of catching up to do. Brought to you by the same original award winning events team voted the Top Soul Club Night outside of London past and present. The inaugural Terrace Soul and Jazz Funk Weekender takes place at The Upscale Alexandra House on Friday November 11th to Sunday 13th November 2022.
Alexandra House is a modern 4 Star contemporary Hotel boasting 152 en-suite bedrooms with impressive leisure facilities comprising of heated swimming pool, steam room and spa pool and gym Alexandra House is a a Venue Collection/Portfolio Hotel which won team of the year at The 2021 M&IT Travel Industry Awards
Situated on the M4 corridor J15 /J16 meaning easy commuting distance / road trip from London, Thames Valley, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, South Wales, Bristol and surrounding areas. There is also a distinct " London " feel abut this Weekender with both artiste and guest from London already confirmed on the line up.
The week end starts off Friday Evening with a Welcome Party hosted by from London, Ash Selector ( Solar Radio ) with residents Paul Alexander and ChrisJazzieB playing modern contemporary soul with Rich Beggar multi number one UK Soul Chart Recoding Artiste together with the Legend that is James Morton, saxophonist performing ' live '
The Weekend has an All Dayer feel about it with Saturday afternoon session being hosted by, from London, the Dons - Aitch B ( Soul 11 Soul ) and Perry Louise ( Shiftless Shuffle ) bringing their brand "All about Da Boogie" to Alexandra House playing Jazz -Funk and Boogie all on original vinyl
Saturday Evening promises to be something really special if you like your 70s and 80s Jazz Funk with Headliner The Brit Funk Association , performing " live " in concert with former members of Hi-Tension, Light Of The World, Incognito, Beggar and Co and Second image with Paul Lewis ( JFSR / Brunel Rooms ) and Ash Selector taking you through to the early hours of Sunday Morning.
The Sunday afternoon All Dayer Jazz Funk sessions are hosted by Lorne Dailey ( Do What You Wanna Do ) with Shaun Gallager ( Camp Soul ) and Al B ( JFSR )
Also hosting Room2 over the weekend Terrace Soul residents Mister M / Doctor Jazz

Stix Bones & The BONE Squad Jazz- Groove Nite
Drummer/Artist Stix Bones and The Brothers Of Noble Excellence Squad delivers a grooving , head nodding, performance of their funky, hip songs off their ground breaking EP Breaks From The Soul,
And what else can one say of Stix Bones? He is not only a great musician/composer, but a consummate showman and entertainer as well. Stix is known for his productions with urban Jazz artist Matt Marshak and JJ Sansaverino, Reality show The Real House Wives of Miami and the Emmy contender Web Series Take Back the Mic. Stix has performed with artist such as Dj Maseo (De La Soul), Bob Baldwin, Jessica CARE Moore and Beatbox artist Rhazel {The Roots}.
Stix highly successful first full-length Hip Hop Jazz album entitled Groove Like This has graced the airwaves of more than forty jazz radio stations in the U.S., Jazz internet and satellite stations across the globe, and has charted in he top 10 on the digital Jazz charts while reaching the top 20 Jazz charts in France.
Clarinetist Dan Levinson To Appear at Morris Museum
Dan Levinson returns to the Morris Museum's Back Deck with an all-star band as they pay homage to the legendary jazz greats including Louis Armstrong, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Bix Beiderbecke, King Oliver and many more. His band includes Danny Tobias on trumpet, Jim Fryer on trombone, Conal Fowkes on piano, Rob Adkins on Bass, Kevin Dorn on drums and Molly Ryan on vocals. The concert will be held outdoors on the Back Deck and an 8'x8' block is $50 and seats two. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets as the Back Deck opens at 6:30. If it rains, we move inside to the Bickford Theatre.

Louis Fouché has steadily established himself as one of the most exciting and versatile saxophonists in the world. He is the saxophonist with Jon Batiste & Stay Human on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and he has spent more than a decade performing with 10-time Grammy winner Eddie Palmieri.
Fouché has toured on 6 continents and over 30 countries, and he'll be making his Minton's debut as a bandleader on Sunday, July 17.
