Henderson uncovers the layers of her diverse background in English and Spanish. Her compositions paint stories reflecting journeys imposed through the African Diaspora in connection to Henderson's Panamanian, Montserratian, and vast Caribbean roots as they interplay with her North American upbringing. On Saturday, December 17, Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT),
located at 23 Water St. Ossining NY, will close out its 2022 Music in the Box season
with a special holiday concert called Home for the Holidays, showcasing the sounds of
the KJ Denhert Jazz Project. The performance will combine holiday themes and material
from Denhert’s latest shows, including new additions from The Beatles, Paul Simon, Bob
Dylan and KJ originals. Urban folk jazz legend Denhert, named one of Jazz.com’s top
female vocalists and four-time Independent Music Award nominee, will be accompanied
by Adam Armstrong on acoustic bass, Nicki Denner on keyboard/piano, Mark McIntyre
on guitar and Eric Halvorson on drums.

Lizzie's latest release, Duo Encounters on Dot Time Records cements Thomas’ stature as one of New York’s top jazz singers. Lizzie mixes classic American Jazz and Brazilian arrangements while showcasing a balance of intimate duets and an adventurous group of jazz musicians.
