Last week we told you about the new show at the Whitney Museum surveying the work of the late Harry Smith. This week WBGO’s Jon Kalish reports on Smith’s connection to the jazz world, which included painting specific jazz recordings and having jazz musicians improvise to screenings of his experimental films.
