Progress is apparently being made on reducing vehicle pollution in the Bronx
Governor Hochul is setting aside 10 million dollars for zero emission school buses and electric vehicle charging stations for the Bronx, which has very poor air quality.
"Higher asthma rates than anywhere else in the city and I will take note that it's not a coincidence that this is a community of color."
Meanwhile, Hochul says the second phase of a 1.7 billion dollar improvement plan for Hunts Point is just about complete. The rehabbing of areas of the Bruckner Expressway and Bruckner Boulevard will create a more direct route to the popular Hunts Point Produce Market, reducing congestion and vehicle emissions pollution in the Bronx.
