New York City’s fire department is launching a new recruitment campaign.
The campaign is titled All Heroes Welcome and features an ad video with different firefighters laying out the benefits of joining the FDNY. Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh says the department is looking to increase its diversity.
“We are calling on the best, the brightest and the bravest in our city, people from all neighborhoods and all backgrounds who share one common goal, the desire to serve our city and save lives.
This is the first New York firefighter exam being offered in seven years. The exam filing period runs from June 24th through August 9th.
