Essex County residents can apply for a 5.5-million-dollar coronavirus emergency rental assistance program. The program will provide a grant for income eligible Essex County residents to receive assistance on up to six months of rent. Residents must also meet the Federal income eligibility requirement, demonstrate a need or provide eviction notice and provide documentation of household income.
October 23rd is the last day residents can apply for emergency rental assistance support. Landlords must agree to receive rental payments and end eviction process and will receive back rental payments directly from Essex County.
