The WBGO Kids Jazz Concert Series continues tomorrow (Saturday) November 16 from 1-2pm at Newark Symphony Hall. The event is presented with the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation.

The Foundation's Executive Director Jackie Harris and the afternoon's guest performer Antoinette Montague joined WBGO's Doug Doyle to talk about the special event that will focus on the music of New Orleans and beyond.

Montague is a blues and jazz singer, entertainer, educator, WBGO’s CAB chair and the recipient of the 2024 Jazz Journalists Association Heroes Award.

Doug Doyle has been News Director at WBGO since 1998 and has taken his department to new heights in coverage and recognition. Doug and his staff have received more than 250 awards from organizations like PRNDI (now PMJA), AP, New York Association of Black Journalists, Garden State Association of Black Journalists and the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists.
