Milestones podcast with host Angélika Beener returns for Season 3 on June 28

Milestones: Celebrating the Culture podcast returns to WBGO for a brand new season on June 28 with host and producer Angélika Beener.

A bi-weekly audio podcast in partnership with WBGO Studios, Milestones invites special guests to the show for deep dive discussions about some of our most essential landmark albums, books, people, and events that are celebrating a milestone year.

From the 90th anniversary of the great composer and arranger Charles Stepney with guest Christian McBride, to the 60th anniversary of Monk’s Dream, with guest T.S. Monk, the podcast utilizes milestones as a way to spotlight, honor and reexamine important cultural contributions and artists.

As we countdown to the Season 3 premiere, we take a look back at some highlights from last season. On a special on-air presentation, this Sunday, June 23 at 6pm, you’ll experience the depth of dialogue between Beener and her incredibly insightful guests, and the range and extent of music explored and celebrated on the podcast.
