Banjoist Bela Fleck was a teenager when he went to New York City to see Chick Corea & Return to Forever. After the concert, Bela went home and tried to find all the notes he heard that night on the banjo. He never forgot. He would later meet Chick, they would become fast friends and record and tour the world together, delighting audiences and each other with their collective discoveries.
Remembrance is the third of those collaborations, and though after Chick's passing, the album keeps the legacy alive and their musical friendship intact for all to enjoy.
From Monday, June 10 through Friday, June 14, one cut from Chick Corea & Bela Fleck’s album Remembrance will be featured each morning in the New Day, New Play spotlight on my Daybreak show.
