Photo Gallery: Jack DeJohnette’s 81st birthday concert celebrating Miles Davis & more

Jack DeJohnette celebrated his 81st birthday in style at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston, NY with a concert with his friends. Among his friends were Don Byron, Wallace Roney Jr., Vernon Reid, Matt Garrison, Doug Wimbish, Will Calhoun, Lusito Quintero, George Colligan, Corey Glover, Cindy Blackman Santana and Carlos Santana. The theme was a tribute to Miles Davis and More. Music from Miles’ extensive catalog, as well as from the original work of John Coltrane and Jimi Hendrix and Jack himself, were played.
