New York City is suing Texas charter bus companies regarding the migrant crisis.

Mayor Eric Adams' Administration is seeking more than 700 million dollars from 17 Texas bus companies to cover food, housing and other costs from migrants being transported from Texas.

"New York City has and will always do our part to manage this humanitarian crisis, but we cannot bear the costs of reckless political ploys from the state of Texas alone,"

Adams says the bus companies have taken part in Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s scheme to transport migrants to New York City in an attempt to overwhelm New York's social services system. They have been arriving very frequently at the Port Authority Bus Terminal and In New Jersey where they have been given one way NJ Transit tickets into New York.
