The famous Loeb Boathouse in Central Park will be reopening.
The Loeb Boathouse has been around since the late 18-hundreds, used in numerous movies and is a tourist attraction but it shut last year. The city has now hired Legends Hospitality to run the restaurant and boat rental program. Legends Regional Vice President Richard Porteus says they will put more than three million dollars into upgrades.
"The cafe, the restaurant, the catering facility and the outdoor deck as well, making sure that all of those outlets really kind of come together and restore to the natural glory."
The aim is to have the boathouse open this summer.
