The culmination of this year's fest runs Aug. 10 from noon to 9 p.m.

April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and WBGO is celebrating by showcasing some of the talent from local programs.

The Jazz House Kids Ambassadors Combo, led by Mike Lee, was the final group in our 2019 festivities, and they brought their "A" game.

Jazz House Kids is a community-based arts organization located in Montclair, New Jersey, with a mission to provide year-round musical, educational, and cultural programs to students in grades K-12, teachers, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. The "Jazz House" provides the framework for students to cultivate the talent, discipline, skills and principles they need to play, sing, and appreciate America's original musical art form. Through music, mentoring and education, Jazz House Kids cultivates tomorrow’s global citizens so they may build vibrant communities where they live.

Jazz House Kids is a grassroots jazz school for young people which has gained a reputation as one of the nation’s preeminent arts education and performance organizations.

Jazz House Kids was created to provide young people with guidance and a positive influence while teaching them how to play and create music.
