Ezequiel Garcia
Doug Doyle for WBGO

72-year old Ezequiel Garcia is running in the New York City Marathon in November.  Garcia has been a donor family member since his son passed in 2011 and became a tissue donor.  He will run his third marathon in support of NJ Sharing Network and in honor of his late son Rey.

Ezequiel Garcia and the President and CEO of the NJ Sharing Network Joe Roth joined WBGO News Director Doug Doyle for an interview about Garcia's love for his family and his new passion for running.

Garcia moved to New Jersey from Puerto Rico in 1971 where he worked in the Newark Public School system as a Spanish teacher for 26 years.  He also worked as an adjunct professor and supervisor at Kean University.
