Sal " The Voice" Valentinetti
America’s Got Talent Champion Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti., Live at the Brook Arts Center on Friday, February 18, 2022. Valentinetti is a crooner from Long Island, New York, whose early influence was his Italian American grandmother’s love of the classic crooner sounds of Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, and Frank Sinatra. In 2016, America's Got Talent was taken by storm by Sal “The Voice” Valentinetti. Sal not only received a standing ovation from the audience but was awarded the coveted “Golden Buzzer”, he was a top-five finalist since AGT, he tours the country and sells out venues of all sizes – from intimate jazz clubs to the legendary Madison Square Garden. He continues to win over the hearts of fans through his emotional and comical storytelling-style performances. Sal Valentinetti released his first debut EP - The Voice and an original holiday single, “When Christmas Comes to Town” in 2017. He will be releasing more original music later this year. Acclaimed jazz guitarist David Gilmore brings his formidable quartet to Zinc on Monday, November 28. He's supported by bassist Boris Koslov on bass, Victor Gould on piano, and Rudy Royston on drums.
David Gilmore has performed and recorded with many of today’s most influential artists, including Wayne Shorter, Steve Coleman, Christian McBride, Dave Douglas, Rudresh Mahanthappa, Randy Brecker, Lenny White, Stanley Clarke, Sam Rivers, and many others. His latest release, Transitions (2017 Criss Cross Records) is one of Downbeat Magazine’s top CDs of 2017. He was also recently voted into both the Critic’s Poll and Reader’s Poll of 2017. Gilmore’s playing has been compared to guitarists as diverse as George Benson and Jimi Hendrix. Gilmore has been the recipient of numerous grants, including two Chamber Music of America, New Jazz Works Composer Grants, and nominated for the prestigious Doris Duke Artist Award. Committed to an improvisational approach that reflects a global awareness, he conducts master classes around the world, and is a Professor at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston.
