Rivalry Series in Women's Hockey: USA vs. Canada

Hilary Knight
Doug Doyle for WBGO

Earlier this week the first game of the 3 game Rivalry Series between the U.S. and Canada women’s ice hockey teams saw a tight contest, with the Americans ultimately scoring the game’s only goal to clinch the victory on Tuesday. That goal was scored by U.S. Superstar and Olympic Gold Medalist Hilary Knight.

Canada won Thursday’s game two 4-3, so Sunday's  rubber match in Detroit will determine which squad wins the Rivalry Series.

In 2018 in New York City, I sat down with Hilary Knight right before she and her teammates won Olympic gold.  We talked about her amazing career at Wisconsin and with the USA Women's Team.
