NYC To Run Out of COVID Vaccine Doses By Tomorrow

Wikimedia Commons

New York City is expected to run out of coronavirus vaccine supply today or tomorrow. Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city’s supply is getting really low and bad weather around the nation is delaying fresh shipments of vaccine doses.

He says this will effect tens of thousands of appointments.

“We have to hold them back because the vaccine hasn’t arrived. This is going to be so frustrating for so many New Yorkers who are just so anxious to get this vaccine.”

Meanwhile, the mayor feels the state is not giving the city its fair share of doses. He says the state is not accounting for the fact that 20 percent of the people vaccinated in the city are from the suburbs.
