For New York and New Jersey, a Winter That Just Won't Quit

If you like winter weather, this has certainly been your year.

And the days ahead are likely to bring more of what makes winter winter.

There could be more snow later this week, said Faye Morrone of the National Weather Service. “Wednesday looks dry,” she said, “then we do have, like we’ve been having, another system on tap for Thursday into Friday, and that right now looks like it could at least potentially start as snow.”

She said it’s just been that kind of winter. “We have been in a very active pattern, so at least through kind of the middle to end of this week that looks to continue, and then we’ll have to see what next week brings,” she said.

Morrone reminded everyone not to be fooled by forecasts of a tenth or a hundredth of an inch of ice. A little, she said, goes a long way.

Spring starts March 20 -- 537am.
