JAM with the Robby Ameen Septet from Rutgers University

April is Jazz Appreciation Month and WBGO is celebrating by showcasing some of the upcoming talent from local programs.

Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick, NJ, has a wide range of degree programs, with its Jazz Program Alumni including Terence Blanchard, Orrin Evans, Johnathan Blake and others.

We invited faculty Robby Ameen's Septet in to play live on Afternoon Jazz with Bill Daughtry. Watch the live set below. (Performance starts at four minutes in.)
