Newark Mayor and Democratic Nominee For U.S. Senate Cory Booker Addresses Local Union Workers In Newark

When Newark Mayor Cory Booker won the democratic primary for US Senate he vowed to go toe to toe with his opponent and today he let him have it.

Booker addressed a room full of union workers in Newark taking the opportunity to lay out the differences between him and his Republican opponent Steve Lonegan. Lonegan has been on the attack since the campaign began calling out Booker on his record as Mayor and has even dubbed his strategy the expose Cory Booker Tour. Booker called Lonegan a self proclaimed right wing radical who is out of sync with his own party.

“This is no compassionate conservatism this is no Ronald Reagan or Dwight Eisenhower this isn’t even Chris Christie who though I disagree with on issues he and I have stood together.”

Booker says Lonegan’s stance on everything from Obamacare to gay marriage is extreme and divisive.
