NY state working to make sure election goes smoothly and prepares for protests

Governor Kathy Hochul reassuring New Yorkers that the state is taking steps to make sure early voting and Election Day is safe and goes smoothly.

Governor Hochul says the state has established tools and protections to hep protect the citizens right take part in the election and deal with issues like misinformation and voter intimidation.

"to promise you that New York stands ready to manage any election related protests, demonstrations or whatever in the hours and days following November 5th."

Voters who do encounter problems at the polls can call the state attorney general election protection hotline or submit and online complaint.
