The famous Macy's Fourth of July fireworks show is set to take place Thursday night. The fireworks have never been cancelled but officials may have to move the start time because of a threat of thunderstorms.

The show is moving back to the Hudson River for the first time in years, giving New Jersey communities a great view. Hundreds of thousand of people are expected to crowd the Jersey waterfront to watch some 60-thousand colorful shells and never seen before patterns light up the sky. Several barges with fireworks will be on the Hudson between West 14th and West 34th streets in Manhattan with Hoboken being one of the prime viewing spots. There will be many streets on the west side of Manhattan closed today because of the fireworks.
