Change in NY voting laws

sample vote-by-mail application

There's a change in New York state voting laws.

Early voting by a mail is being expanded. Governor Kathy Hochul signed legislation that allows all registered New York voters to use mail in ballots. She also signed a bill that allows for same day voter registration starting with the first day of early voting. Senator Mike Gianaris is a big backer of new measures.

"The more eligible voters participating in the process, the more they will be invested in their government. The more the government will reflect the will of the people it represents."

Hochul also signed legislation expanding voter education programs in schools.
