Those sickened by 9-11 terror attacks being honored

The annual 9-11 remembrance ceremony is taking place in Lower Manhattan Monday. There will also be a tribute to those suffering from 9-11 related health effects.

Tens of thousands of people have been diagnosed with health conditions tied to expose of toxins at Ground Zero. President of the 9-11 Memorial and Museum Beth Hillman says for the first time, after the annual 9-11 remembrance ceremony, their will be a tribute to them at the Memorial Glade.

"That's a special part of the 9-11 Memorial that was dedicated in 2019 in order to specifically honor those folks who suffered and many have died from the health effects."

The Glade is located about where the primary ramp once was set up for use during the rescue and recovery effort.
