New York State is rolling out yet another incentive to try and convince more people to get the coronavirus vaccine.

Those who get their first shot in New York state will now be entered into weekly drawings for a chance at winning Jets, Giants or Bill tickets, merchandise, and video calls from players. Former Giant Shaun O’ Hara is pushing the vaccine.

“Playing defense is wearing a mask. Playing offense is getting a vaccine, being proactive. Let’s not be on the defensive anymore. Let’s be aggressive and let’s go for it.”

Nearly three quarters of adults in New York State are fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, Governor Hochul notes the statewide seven day coronavirus positivity rate is trending in a better direction. It’s now at 2.75 percent.
