New York Governor Kathy Hochul is making a push get more eligible students vaccinated against coronavirus.

Hochul is creating 120 mobile pop up vaccine sites by partnering with community organizations over the next several months to push the vaccination rate higher among eligible students. Only a little over half of 12 to 17 year olds have gotten at least one shot in the state.

“I cannot imagine the regret a parent does feel when they have their child unvaccinated the child gets sick or worse. I am going to guess as a mom that is the guilt you do not want to live with.”

Hochul was asked what’s stopping her from mandating the vaccine for students.

“I have said all options are on the table. I am watching the numbers like a hawk.”
