New York City is preparing for coronavirus booster shots. There will be 19-hundred vaccination sites across the city where folks who are eligible will have access to booster shots. Health Commissioner Dr. Dave Chokshi says they are awaiting details from the feds.
“It is highly likely that boosters will be authorized for some New Yorkers by next week and New York City will be ready.”
There will be emails and texts to New Yorkers who are eligible right after federal guidance is released. There will be weekend booster shot events, scheduled appointments and walk in options. Officials do expect lines within the initial days of the booster rollout.
