Legislation Would Expand Free and Low Cost Daycare To More New Yorkers

More masks mandates are being put in place in New York State.

Governor Kathy Hochul says masks are now required in day care settings for staff and children ages two and older.

“The scariest announcements coming out every single morning are the number of children now contracting COVID”

She’s also now requiring masks at state regulated residential and congregate day services including mental health facilities. Meanwhile, latest data shows 82 percent of adults in New York state have received at least one vaccine dose. Hochul is now asking every sports organizations to mandate the vaccine for fans.

“Because there is a large congregation of people, whether it’s a bills game, Sabres game or other games across the state, you should be vaccinated.”
