Event Description

Admission: “Pay what you choose” - Public $10, $15, $20, $25. WP Community and Non WP Students $8. (You will choose from the drop down menu.) WP students can receive a code for a free ticket from the Music Department. Ed Neumeister Quartet with Gary Versace, Drew Gress , Tom Rainey, featuring the great vocalist Jay Clayton. Trombonist and arranger/composer Ed Neumeister recently rejoined the William Paterson jazz faculty, after having served as a professor at the University of the Performing Arts, Graz Austria. He is a veteran of many major big bands, including the Duke Ellington Orchestra and Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, both as an arranger and a major soloist. His arrangements span many musical worlds and speak in many musical dialects. His arrangement of A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square for The Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra was nominated for a GRAMMY award for Best Instrumental Arrangement.
