Edward "Ed" Xiques

Edward "Ed" Xiques is an American jazz saxophonist born in NY. Xiques received his bachelor's degree in music from Boston University in 1962, where he played with Jaki Byard and Herb Pomeroy. He worked full-time as a musician from 1968 and since the 90s he has taught music at Vassar College. He is perhaps best known for playing baritone saxophone in the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis (Vanguard) Jazz Orchestra.

Three different all-star groups will perform 7-10:30 pm (doors open at 6pm).
