    Conversations w/Allan Wolper – 7:30 pm: guest - Sam Schwartz; Schwartz is known worldwide as Gridlock Sam, a nickname the media gave him for his role in coining the term, Gridlock. As New York City's traffic commissioner in the 1980's, he designed routes for numerous crowded corners. He is also a columnist for The Daily News.

    Jazz Night in America – 6:30 pm: Tootie Heath Turns 80! Jazz Night In America is honored to celebrate the 80th birthday of drummer, bandleader, and force of nature Albert “Tootie” Heath. He’s recorded with Coltrane, lead a band for fifty years, and played with Dexter Gordon, Nina Simone, Wes Montgomery, and many more. In eight decades, Heath hasn’t missed a beat.
